Stephanie had a crush on Russ in 9th grade, which he had no idea about until years later. After high school, they went their separate ways; Stephanie to UC Davis, Russ all the way to Washington. Shortly into freshman year of college, one evening they both happened to be online at the same time…on AOL instant messenger (remember that??) They struck up a conversation, and quickly realized they had a lot to talk about. Stephanie admitted her high school crush to Russ, and as their relationship grew he eventually decided to move back to California to be with her (swoon!!) They have a lot of memories in Davis; on the UC campus, and throughout the area of town where they lived for awhile after college. We went back to some of those places that held so many memories for them, and how incredibly fun to hang out with these two as we relived those first few years. They have been through so much life together, and they still have that same playful attitude as the first night they started chatting online. For Stephanie and Russ, it’s clear that to them it’s just about having fun and loving the one you’re with, and it was so much fun to capture them together. I am so looking forward to their wedding this October at Monte Verde Inn!

Kacie was out with friends at Press Club one night, and she almost ended up going home early when some other friends wanted to leave but she decided to stay. Luckily she did, because she ended up running into Kyle that night. I say running into because technically they met a couple years before, but she didn’t remember it so to her this was their first meeting. And it was magic! They went on their first date at Fox and Goose only a few days later, and the rest is history. Kyle also proposed at Red Rabbit, so needless to say a lot of their history is Downtown. So we decided to go back to where it all began! It was fun to walk around and explore, and these two are an absolute riot. I love that Kyle will totally ham it up and Kacie will try to act like she doesn’t think it’s funny, even though she’s giggling the whole time. I can imagine these two have a hard time staying mad at each other
I’m looking forward to their wedding at Croation later this year!
